Mr. Bélisle is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership as well as the overall management of the company.
Mr. Bélisle graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada in Engineering Physics and later obtained a M.Sc. Physics with specialty in optical systems. Over his 30 year career in research and development at Defence R&D Canada and Communications Research Centre Canada (CRC), he has been involved in a wide range of technologies, from microwave-photonics, communications networks, software defined radios, and satellite communications. He successfully exploited new wireless technologies to address the requirements of policy makers, regulators, military, first-responders, and service providers.
Mr. Bélisle previously held the positions of Vice President Satellite Communications Research and Strategic Program Development at the CRC where he spearheaded major strategic and technological shifts across the research organization to position it to the new reality of government R&D programs. He launched the CRC research program that created the technologies now with NordiaSoft. He forged multiple collaborations with external partners such as Canadian Space Agency, the Department of National Defence, the public safety community and the industry at large, nationally and internationally. He is a member of the Wireless Innovation Forum (WInnF) board of directors and held the position of Technical Director from 2008 to 2011.
