Jeet Hothi is responsible for licensing, intellectual property protection and other legal services.
Mr. Hothi is a Certified Licensing Professional (CLP), a certification given by the Licensing Executive Society of America (LES). In addition, he also obtained a Master’s degree in systems engineering from Carleton University, Ottawa and a Bachelor degree in electronics and telecommunications from Panjab University, India.
Mr. Hothi has 20+ years of experience in licensing and client relations, including 13 years as the Director of the Technology Transfer Office at the Communications Research Centre Canada (CRC), where he was responsible, among others, for all the licensing pertaining the SCARI Software Suite. Mr. Hothi has been bestowed with numerous awards for achieving results through his dedication and service to clients, including Queen’s Golden Jubilee Commemorative Medal for winning patent litigation (interference) against two large multinationals, Technology Partnership Commercialization Award given by OCRI (Ottawa Carleton Research Institute) for successful partnerships with industry, CRC President’s Excellence Award, FPTT (Federal Partners in Technology Transfer) award for leadership in technology transfer through service to clients. Mr. Hothi is well respected by his colleagues and is known for fairness and dedication to his clients and partners.
