Mr. Bélisle, in its role of the WInnF Chief Technology Officer (CTO), will introduce DEFCOM attendees to the WInnF organization providing an overview of collaborative work being undertaken by its members towards the development of standards and recommendations for software defined radios and spectrum utilization. . Established in 1996, the Wireless Innovation Forum™ comprises an international group of equipment vendors, subsystem vendors, software developers, technology developers, communication service providers, research and engineering organizations, academic institutions, government users, regulators and other interested parties who share the common business interests of advancing technologies supporting the innovative utilization of spectrum and the development of wireless communications systems, including essential or critical communications systems.
Mr. Bélisle will also talk about the Software Communications Architecture (SCA) as the de facto standard for tactical Software Defines Radios (SDR) and about the benefits of adopting the latest SCA v4.1 version of the specification. The presentation will also include details about the SCA global reach, as well as discussion of International efforts for SCA Certification.
