NordiaSoft announced today it has joined the Wireless Innovation Forum™, a non-profit international industry association dedicated to driving the future of radio communications and systems worldwide. For last 15 years, the forum has been the gathering place for the major players in the evolution of the Software Communication Architecture (SCA). SCA is the standard used worldwide for building military Software Defined Radios (SDR).
The Wireless Innovation Forum is still at the centre of the evolution of the SCA specification. In December 2013, the forum was asked to draw upon its membership’s expertise to help create the
next revision of the SCA specification. The Joint Tactical Networking Center (JTNC), custodian of the SCA specification, requested help from the Wireless Innovation Forum regarding a number of new features proposed for adoption in SCAv4.1. The forum responded by creating a number of task groups that are already hard at work.
NordiaSoft was asked tolead the task groups addressing backwards compatibility and conditional inheritance. “As always, it’s a privilege for NordiaSoft to participate to the evolution of the SCA specification ” say Steve Bernier, CEO/CTO of NordiaSoft “ we are happy to be back at the forum “.
