NordiaSoft’s latest addition to its product portfolio, the SCA Architect plugin for R-Check SCA, was selected by the membership of the Wireless Innovation Forum, an international industry association dedicated to driving technology innovation in commercial, civil, and defense communications worldwide, as the Technology of the Year in the field of Software Defined and Cognitive Radio.
As the SCA defines a framework to improve interoperability and portability of the software code developed for embedded systems, notably in the communications market, it is paramount that the code produced be compliant with the specification. Teaming up with Reservoir Labs, the developer of R-Check SCA (static analysis tool for SCA compliance testing), NordiaSoft developed the plugin for its SCA Architect graphical modeling tool for SDR / SCA development. Developers can now verify compliancy of their code while writing their SCA artifacts during the development phase, thus significantly reducing their compliancy effort. With the SCA Architect plugin for R-Check SCA, NordiaSoft becomes the first and only vendor in the commercial market to offer SCA compliance testing integrated with its SCA development tools.
Also during the event, Steve Bernier, NordiaSoft Chief Technology Officer was awarded the Wireless Innovation Forum’s President Award for his stewardship in making the upcoming 4.1 version of the SCA specification, backward compatible with the previous SCA 2.2.2 version. “Over the last decade, radio manufacturers and military organizations have made substantial investments in developing and deploying tens of thousands of radios based on the SCA technology.
